Code Reports
Code reports are a great reference and coordination document for the project team including consultants, developers, builders and trades. A Code report can help a design team with optimization by identifying applicable requirements for integration into plans and designs, thereby reducing the risk of design errors or omissions. Likewise, a Code report is an effective resource for builders and trades to guide them on the minimum requirements.
Historically, a Code report submitted with a development or building permit application usually reduces permit review time as the report provides a project summary and how the applicable requirements have been integrated into a buildings design. This can result in reducing permit wait times and afford a position to commence with construction sooner then building permit applications that are submitted without a Code report.
