Since our establishment in 2022, we have dedicated ourselves to providing guidance on the Building and Fire Codes in British Columbia, helping bring to life our clients’ visions while complying fully with public safety measures.

The name ‘Ratio’ signifies our philosophy: a balanced, logical, and well-thought-out approach to solving the challenges posed by modern building requirements. Our work is about finding the right balance of conventional methods and innovative solutions to meet the requirements of the BC Building Code, Vancouver Building Bylaw, and the National Building Code of Canada.
We are a proudly registered firm with Engineers & Geoscientists BC (EGBC). Our team comprises experienced professionals passionate about making a difference in the world of building safety. Led by our two Principals, Joe Krevs and Henning White, we are approaching 40 years of combined experience in Code Consulting services.
Professional Licensee Engineering (P.L. Eng) and former Building Official with over 18 years of experience in the industry.
Joe specializes in the BC Building Code and has expertise in developing alternative solutions for a wide variety of projects, from residential, commercial, industrial and institutional.

With 20 years of experience, Henning has spearheaded Code Consulting services for projects ranging from mixed-use residential developments to educational institutions, emphasizing safety and accessibility through innovation.
